Privacy and Cookies Policy

This document sets out the terms on which Quantock Eco (henceforth “QE”) holds your personal data.

Data Controller:

QE is the “Data Controller” for the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018.

Data QE Retains:

For members QE retains your name, address, telephone number and email address if you have one.

For non-members QE may retain your name, address, telephone number and/or email address if you have given it to QE.

Storage & Use of Your Data:

In all cases QE will store your data securely and may use your information in one or more of the following ways:

  • To process your membership payment each year;
  • To send you news and information of activities organised by QE;
  • To send you governance information including meeting dates, minutes and
  • agendas;
  • To update your information.

Third Parties & Your Data:

QE may pass your information to third party service providers, or use a third party service, who we have engaged/used for the purpose of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf. Only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service is shared with any third party.

QE have verified that these third party services are GDPR compliant (or are working towards GDPR compliance), and are certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework (or are working towards certification) where these organisations are based outside of the EU.

QE’s preferred method of communication is by Bcc… email (including Mailchimp). This method will be used for all communications unless a member does not have access to email, in which case other secure methods will be used.

QE undertakes never to pass on your data to third parties without your express permission to do so in writing.

Access to Your Data:

Should you wish to access the data QE holds on your behalf, or change that information, please email quantockecomail@gmail.com or call 01984 656844.

Should you at any time wish to terminate your membership and remove your data from QE’s records please email quantockecomail@gmail.com or call 01984 656844.

Leaving a Comment
